Listen to the music...

Quite chuffed at the moment as Darren's asked me to DJ at Antichrist again on August Bank Holiday (Sunday August 29th) so that should be damn cool; make a note in your respective diaries. Speaking of DJing... my cousin Paul, who is a proper DJ and all, has released a new single which, if you have 30 seconds to spare, you can vote for DJ Evolution - 'Retronic' here. It's bleepy shit at it's bleepiest, but on the plus side he does count Front 242 at the Astoria as one of his favourite gigs of all time.
Anyway, on with the show...
Well, the results have been posted with the quiz. The answers are as follows:
1) Dead Kennedys - Holiday In Cambodia
2) Deftones - My Own Summer
3) Depeche Mode - Personal Jesus
4) VNV Nation - Joy
5) Garbage - Stupid Girl
6) Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
7) Cypress Hill - Insane In The Brain
8) Blur - Song 2
9) Dog Eat Dog - No Fronts
10) Faith No More - From Out Of Nowhere
11) The Stranglers - No More Heroes
12) Chemical Brothers - Chemical Beats
13) Rosetta Stone - Eye For The Main Chance (Am I Wrong?)
14) The Jam - Going Underground
15) Public Enemy (With Anthrax) - Bring The Noize
16) Ultraviolence - Joan
17) Alice In Chains - Angry Chair
18) Project Pitchfork - Bodies
19) Skunk Anansie - Weak
20) Machine Head - Old
21) Hole - Violet
22) Aphex Twin - Come To Daddy (Pappy Mix)
23) Virgin Prunes - Baby Turns Blue
24) Type O Negative - My Girlfriend's Girlfriend
25) Fear Factory - Self Bias Resistor
As a combined effort, every single answer was obtained by someone except for "20) Machine Head - Old"; suprising really as it's a great song, and Machine Head were one of the great 90s metal bands that really took the scene to new levels a few years ago. Other than that, a few of you had some strange answers to several of the songs. The intro to Personal Jesus is not "the Microsoft Sound", neither Public Enemy nor Anthrax are Swedish, and how 'No More Heroes' was confused with Primus is beyond me
Mr Rattler. A slap on the wrist too for
hirez too who accused his mates Skunk Anansie of being the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Well done to
purplestuart though for thrashing everyone with 32 points.
I already have 25 more intros to release which will go out on Friday I reckon.
